Go "Whoa-bama"

Lanie stayed up with us just long enough to see the results come in and she was super excited to see "Whoa-bama"win. Much to our dismay, she had been a Sarah Palin fan up until that night. When it was over she asked "but where will Palin go?" and I was happy to answer back to Alaska!
Even Jackman was in on the excitement!

David had some helpers getting our yard ready this year. Let me tell you, it looked Spooky...

It was a perfect night for trick or treating, probably the warmest Halloween since we've lived in Mission.

Trick or Treat

We took grammie to one of our favorite places, the carousel and Dragon Hollow. Lanie gets excited to go everyitme, but truth be told, she is scared of how fast the horses go and much prefers just playing at the playground. Ditto for Jackman.

Such Concentration

This is the first time we've really let Jack loose with the paint, and if you saw his costume post-painting, you'd understand why...

It's great having a daddy who is good at art.

Ready to go!

Grammie brought extra costumes for the kids, so we figured they might as well wear them for pumkin carving.

The Great Cookie Party

We had six little decorators and granny Lou over to our house and let me say they did an awesome job! They were so good and had so much fun. This is a tradition with grammie that is worth keeping up.

Family Fun Night

The kids' cousins came over the night before cookie making and had a great time. Grammie beaded with the girls while Jack had a fantastic evening playing with his cousin.

My Friends Tigger and Pooh

Jack is obsessed with all things Tigger and Pooh. He knows and loves all of the characters from the original and the new series. He carries his critters everywhere and goes in to OCD mode if he can't find one.

I had to put his suit on him and take his picture because it immediately reminded me of these pictures we had taken of Lanie.

Grammie arrives...

and so do the presents and costumes!!

Halloween Tradition

My mom made her 2nd annual trip out to Montana for Halloween. I'm happy to say that this was an even more fun visit than last year. We kept her busy most of the time. She had 7 little helpers over to make Halloween cookies the Sunday after she got here. She also spent a good deal of time beading with both Lanie and Brooklinn. Halloween night, David's entire family made it over to our house for pizza and we took Lanie, Jack, Brooklinn, Daniel, and Sparrow trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Let me tell you, Jack loved this! He was probably the most excited of them all. The day after the big night, we went over to aunt Suzie's for a yummy Italian dinner. Uncle Richie and Aunt Erin had come from Portland for a quick weekend visit, so the kids had a great time tackling poor Richard and running around Suzie's house full-speed. Stay tuned for lots of cute pictures from grammie's visit!
