Lots of critters to pet, for my mom's sake I left out the one of Lanie petting a long yellow reptile..

The Big Day!!!

All of the "Keast" kids did such a good job the day of the wedding. We spent many hours before the wedding taking pictures and getting ready and they were so good and so patient the entire time!

Here a couple of wedding pictures, but I didn't want to post too many of other people without permission, but let me say it was a beautiful ceremony and the bride and groom looked fabulous!
Don't Auntie Erin and Uncle Andrew look dyn-o-mite!

Rehearsal Dinner

In August, we headed to Portland for the much anticipated wedding of uncle Richie and aunt Erin(yes, another aunt Erin)

Uncle Richard's rehearsal dinner was a great place to visit with everyone from out of town the day before the wedding, and his backyard was the perfect, relaxed setting.

The SPECIAL place

Thanks to my grandparents, we stayed at a wonderfully magical place called The Great Wolf Lodge on our way to Portland. The kids had such a good time, and how could they not? There was an enormouse indoor water slide park and magic wands "you could point at things and make them talk"(Lanie).Lanie cannot stop talking about our stay and is still telling anyone who will listen about the "special place"--pretty impressive since we were there for less than 24 hours. So a big thank you to great-grandma and grandpa and a whole-hearted recommendation for anyone looking for a cool place to stay with kids on the Washington/Oregon border.

Firmean's Auction

The auction was actually in June, so these are a little out of order, but they had such a great time I figured I'd better include them. Lanie's only complaint was that her hero Monte the Bear wasn't there as advertised. Instead "his friend" the Mauler was there and a scary wolf is just not the same. In fact, Lanie had spent an hour or more the night before making Monte a card so she was very disappointed when he didn't show up.

More Fun With Uncle Kenny

We spent a great afternoon kayaking with Rob and Erin while Ken was visiting.
Enjoying a yummy dinner at the picnic table grandpa Randy built.

They all came back sooo excited by this little beauty they saw in the road at the Bison Range. Boy was I glad I stayed home!

Uncle Kenny!

Have I ever said how much my kids LOVE their uncle Kenny? We were so glad he could come and spend almost 2 weeks with us this summer. Lanie was a happy camper and demanded every minute of his attention--which she got!

He was here for Good Old Days and got to see our small parade and participate in a game of slip and slide softball-- a first for all of us.

Reminds Me of Home

These beautiful woods remind me of growing up in Sequim, and maybe they are even magical enough for fairies??

Fairy Forest

While at Bull Lake, we went for a walk through the Cedar Groves. Lanie decided right away fairies must live inside these tree-and immediately dubbed it the fairy forest.

note the title of the book and what we are studying...

Moments Like This

As we're laying down for bed, Lanie mutters "mama I love your beautiful eyes". In moments like this it doesn't matter the fits she threw earlier in the day or the fact that she is once again going to bed in our room instead of in her own bed. All that matters is that she is the sweetest little girl ever...

Poor Jack in his dorky life preserver suit, but at least he'll float!

Look at this big girl helping Christy drive the boat...

Bull Lake

For years our friends have been trying to get us to spend the 4th up at Bull Lake. Well we finally took them up on their offer and it was absolutely wonderful. In fact, the kids were having so much fun that we stayed an extra night.

Watching the Fourth of July Parade in Troy

After a big fall down the hill Jack was a little beat up but still lovin' life!

Fairy Castles

Lanie hated the caverns and was terrified until we got to the last few rooms where the formations were pink. Then we decided they must be fairy castles and everything was ok!
