CHRISTMAS EVE















We had a great Christmas Eve at our house! Granny and Papa and Aunt Suzie and family came over, and we had fun snacking on tons of good food and opening presents. Lanie loved her apron and cookbook from granny and now insists we both have on our aprons and have out our cookbooks when making any meal.

Community Christmas Carnival-- Lanie wouldn't get her picture with Santa, but she had a great time playing all of the games!











Play Day with Friends--Lanie has been asking for her friends to come over for quite awhile, so on my first day of break, we invited Isobel and Canyon over to decorate cookies. They had a great time playing together and there was only about a 5 minute time period when I completely lost all control of them.

Our trip was cut short when Lanie realized how cold she really was. Luckily, we had found our tree and just needed to load it up!

Thanksgiving

So much to be thankful for this year, the most obvious being my beautiful, healthy children. I am also so grateful for David and the support he has given me lately in my quest to get into shape. He has encouraged me without any sort of pressure and has been willing to do anything I need to help me in my goals. I am also truly appreciative of what a wonderful father he is. Lanie and Jack do not realize how lucky they are to have the daddy they do. Just the other night, David commented, once again, on how he doesn't understand fathers who choose not to spend time with their kids and use work and other things as an escape. To have such an attentive father is a gift and I hope my kids appreciate this later in life when they are angry at or embarrassed by something that their dad is doing.

"Fearless"

Little Miss Lanie had no fear when she went to cousin Brooklinn's horse show. She got right in there with her stick horse and showed them what was what. I'm sure Brook would be glad to know Lanie considers herself a "cowboy" , any type of hat fits the bill... Mom and dad however don't know if we're ready for a little cowgirl!

Special Visits

Not only were we lucky to have my mom come to see us in time for Halloween, my grandparents came to spend the weekend with us! We had a wonderful visit and were so happy to have everyone here !

We had a very busy, fun-filled Halloween season. There were parties, cookies decorating adventures, and evenings of trick-or-treating, not to mention pumpkin carving and a visit with grammie.
